April saw the return of EGX Rezzed 2016 and as you would expect I was very excited even tough the weather did not hold out…
Tag: De Mambo
Back at EGX Rezzed on the Tobacco Docks in London I got to play hands on De Mambo and spend time with the guys at The Dangerous Kitchen.
De Mambo is a chaotic pin ball Super Smash Bros’ style game of Epic Proportions! Where you survive elimination by eating your opponents !

Now on to the purpose of my article, the De Mambo Kickstarter & Greenlight
De Mambo is The Dangerous Kitchen’s first game that lets players take control of up to four characters locked in infinite mambo!
Help them escape this horrible—and somewhat provocative—despair! Knock your opponent off the screen… and use your measly one button to attack with three levels of charge!
Break the level however you decide (thanks to some flimsy architecture) to make your game marginally different each time you play.
Easy to learn, hard to master gameplay designed to use one action button.
- Four player competitive multiplayer
- Breakable environment for reactive gameplay
- Single-human playing mode
- A vast vat of crumbly challenges
- Over 50 different multiplayer stages
- Miniature American flags for some
As a massive fanboy of all things Indie, EGX Rezzed (I’m likely to refer to this as just ‘Rezzed’) holds a special place in my heart due to its continued devotion around highlighting Indie Games.
With massive rooms dedicated to Indie Games and Indie Game Publishers it really is moving in the right direction when it comes to promoting Indie Games.
Marry this with its rooms like the Leftfield Collection and its new room BAFTA Inside Games Arcade not only did you get to play some very well put together rounded games, but some very experimental and creative games too.
