I have nothing really to say about Saturday I did decide to record the queue to get in today to just show you how it was like for me getting into the venue.
Saturday saw me spending most of my time in the over 18’s area on the first floor. This day it’s highs and most defiantly it’s lows and that’s because of the following reasons
What can I say about a graphically impressive, fun and entertaining game where I only played for 5 mins out of a total 15 min allocated. After waiting 3 hours to play it? Other than “it’s good looking game. terrible wait, terrible experience and no idea how it plays”.
Dual semi automatic Shotguns, DUAL SEMI AUTOMATIC SHOTGUNS, Knife kills, Fighting an army of robots and humans, Disabling and draining two large robots, un-mounting and using a massive chain gun. This is how you do a first person shooter! Sadly the only thing that let it down was the lack of Mouse and Keyboard as the controller I used was way too slow when using it to aim at as wells as tracking enemies.
This title didn’t really show off to me. I mean it was very cool looking and you did have a lot of cool effects, but , the demo was a multiplayer mode with rotating challenges, So “King of the Hill”, “Bomb and run” and “Team death match”. Also another reason I didn’t get much joy from this game is because we were being camp killed SO the bulk of our time wasn’t spent playing, mainly respawning. As you can gather the group I was on lost.
This free to play title is something I have been aware of for some time now and I love this game, so when I heard I could play this on the PS4 I was excited! I was fortunate to have the ability to play this title quite promptly due to the larger proportion of the over 18’s queue being for Killzone. In this game you are Cyborg Ninja’s and it’s a multiplayer co-op game meaning no spawn killing! I was even fortunate enough to have met one of the team responsible for this title and currently in communication with them to see about potential new Noaksey content! I’ll keep you guys posted!
The player is a serpent creature called the “Long Mover”. There are few set objectives, though the game is non-linear. There is no score, time limit, or tutorial which means that you are doing stuff just for the fun of it. This is a breath of fresh air for me when it comes to games because too little nowadays do games actually invite you to have fun with it, but I’ll be honest most of the PS4 titles I have enjoyed at this event do exactly that.
This is a game which comes with the PS4 it is a Augmented Reality focused game using the Camera and Controllers in new ways. One of the most intereting things you got to play with in this Augmented space were the AR Bots. They get beamed down into the controller. As they do, you really get that feeling that the controller is filling up with lots of small tumbling bodies. That’s because we use the DualShock 4 controller’s Dual Motors and Speaker in tandem to create that tactile illusion. You can peek inside the controller and look at those guys having a secret party: a quick roll left and right, a big shake and you send them off flying, with each movement of the controller accurately translated on the screen.
But it doesn’t stop there. A flick on the Touch Pad and you can send them out flying and landing in your living room. It won’t be long before the entire floor is covered with a crowd of these little guys! They also react to your touch and people’s movement in the room. They see your face so you can play “peek-a-boo!” and give them the scare of their life. it is very cool and if I get the PS4 something I will enjoy playing with alone and with others.
|Wii U||45 Mins|
This is the “sequel” to Bayonetta, as it was made by the same company and has the same look and feel, however this is a sole Nintendo release due to Sega deciding to not look to extent on this title. Nintendo then decide they will fund it and I am so glad they did. I may have troble saying Bayonetta, but the game play is smooth the controls are amazing and it oozes that required addition appeal you would expect from the sequel.
Putty Squad is a platform game in which the player controls an amorphous blue blob, tasked with rescuing imprisoned putties. The player’s putty can stretch in a variety of ways: sidewards to cover ground faster, squash flat to absorb pick-up items, stretch upwards to climb, morph a fist to attack, or inflate to float upwards. This is an old game reinvented and relaunched and I for one was happy to welcome it back.
|Wii U||5 mins|
In Tengami you explore a beautifully crafted pop-up book world, with an art style inspired by traditional Japanese arts and crafts. Tengami is an atmospheric adventure game, full of wonder and mystery, set in Japan of ancient dark fairy tales. Flip, fold, slide and pull parts of the world to solve puzzles and discover secrets. Tengami will be released on iOS in 2013. It will come to the WiiU e-shop, Windows and OS X in 2014.
