HYPER JAPAN returns this July, with their stage shows promising a mix of “sense-shattering sensations and calming cultural cool” to for a diverse range of interests!
HYPER JAPAN 2014′s lineup kicks off with singer MAYUKO, who song’s are almost dreamlike. This year also sees the European launch of DEN Entertainment’s “the SAKE” and the world premiere of techno-traditional “Opera AOI”, for a two-hit-combo of the marriage of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.
Previous years’ performers have included acts ranging from the technodelic SIRO-A to the CHOU~KAWAII Yun*chi, through to folk music and J-rockers like VANIRU! It’s not just music though, They have seen talks from Japanese cultural figures both bleeding-edge and classical, such as the creators of the KURATAS real-life giant robots, and International Geisha, Saiyuki. There have also been live cooking and cocktail demonstrations, film and anime screenings and attempts at breaking Guinness World Records!
For those of you who love to participate as well as spectate, the famous HYPER JAPAN COSParade returns, as well as the UK round of the Euro Cosplay Gathering (ECG)!
While the Main Stage will host the headline acts and general guests, there will be three other stages for EAT-JAPAN, HYPER KAWAii!!, and HYPER FRINGE respectively. In other words, there will be food, fashion and Fringe action all-day everyday at HYPER JAPAN 2014.
HYPER JAPAN 2014 will be bursting at the seams with activities, food and drink, and shows, as well as totally unique shopping opportunities!

The HYPER JAPAN cosplay team will be involved in the World Cosplay Summit (WCS) 2015 UK preliminaries this November, but there’s plenty more action before then:

Sake Experience 2014
The Eat-Japan Sake Experience 2014 is a Japanese sake event unparalleled in scale. In addition to increasing awareness, the Sake Experience 2014 will give participants the opportunity to taste more than 20 diverse varieties of authentic Japanese sake, learning about the different temperatures and ways in which sake can be enjoyed. Ticket holders can also meet sake brewers, attend mini-seminars from a sake sommelier, and participate in polls and prize draws. Many sakes on offer for sampling can also be purchased by attendees at the event.
